What is your real estate website doing for you?
If you reading this article, your website is probably not doing much for you. I understand that Real Estate Agents are busy, but contributing time into your website will reward you in the long run.
Like many other businesses, a Real Estate website is a storefront for their business. If your website is outdated and/or lacks functionality, your clients will assume that of you. Would you buy a product or service from a company with a poor website? There’s more.
Your clients will visit your website for two main reasons. First, make your website a resource for your clients. Seller and buyers are always searching for more information regarding Real Estate transactions and great opportunities. Although there are tons of information regarding Real Estate, most websites have, at best, mediocre information. This is where you can shine and offer your clients great information! Second, provide interesting information that clients would want to keep coming back. Start a blog that is interesting with a twist of valuable information that make you the local Real Estate expert.
Are you making an effort to create marketing material that lead back to your website? Post cards, email blasts, social media, etc. should have links to your website. Most Real Estate Agents add links to their marketing materials, but to other websites that were created by third-party vendors. For example, some photography/video companies produce websites for you but these sites do not lead your clients to your website. If you understand how SEO works, you will know that you are missing out.
